Kebbi assembly screens, confirms former LG chair as commissioner

The Kebbi State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Garba Hassan-Warra, as commissioner and member of the State Executive Council, after screening him.
The nominee was a former chairman of Ngaski Local Government and was confirmed by the lawmakers during a plenary in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
The confirmation of the nominee followed Governor Nasir Idris’ request presented to the assembly by the Speaker, Muhammad Usman-Zuru.
The nominee, who was also Special Adviser on Solid Minerals to former Governor Atiku Bagudu, was confirmed after introducing himself and responding to some questions by the lawmakers during the sitting of the Committee of the Whole chaired by the speaker.
