Kaduna govt. warns political appointees against non-performance

The Deputy Gov. of Kaduna State, Hadiza Balarabe, has warned political appointees in the state that the administration would not tolerate non-performance.
Ms Balarabe gave the warning on Wednesday in Kaduna during the swearing-in of 19 advisers and four local government chairmen.
She said that the political appointees must work assiduously towards the delivery of good governance.
Mr Balarabe added that their mandates included driving the government agenda and urged them not to betray the high confidence placed in them.
The deputy governor said the appointees should familiarise themselves with the agenda, which outlined the core principles guiding Gov. Uba Sani’s administration.
She, therefore, urged them to remain dedicated to their responsibilities and avoid complacency.
Those who took the oath of office included Shehu Usman-Muhammad, counsellor on political matters; Bulus Bangui-Audu, counsellor on land matters; and Samaila Suleiman, counsellor on infrastructure.
A total of 16 special advisers also took their oath of office.
The local government chairmen sworn in were those of Lere, Gambo Mathew-Bulus; Soba, Abdulmumuni Bawa; and Kubau, Musa Sale, while Salisu Isah was sworn in as the administrator of Birnin Gwari Local Government.
