The speaker of the house, Yusuf Liman, who presided over the plenary in Kaduna, said the screening began with the former speaker of the state’s eighth assembly, Aminu Shagali.
Mr Shagali was asked to take a bow, while others were duly screened and cleared by the law makers.
Other nominees cleared and confirmed by the assembly included Umma Ahmed, Mukhtar Ahmed, Ibrahim Hamza, Sule Shuaibu, Shizzer Bada, Muhammad Bello, and Salisu Rabi.
The others are Benjamin Gugong, Abubakar Bubba, Sadiq Lagos, and Murtala Dabo.
The two other nominees – Patience Fakai and Auwal Shugaba were absent during the screening.
