Kaduna ADC working committee backs state chairman

The Kaduna State Working Committee (SWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unanimously passed a vote of confidence in its State Chairman, Ahmed Mustapha, following deliberations on party affairs and preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The State Publicity Secretary, Idris Musa, disclosed this on Thursday at the party’s state Secretariat in Kaduna.
Mr Musa said the committee was satisfied with the chairman’s leadership, stating that he had steered and repositioned the party towards unity, growth, and electoral competitiveness ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said, “The meeting focused on membership registration, membership drive, and an assessment of the party’s preparedness for the elections. Members particularly commended the chairman for strengthening the local government structure of the party across the state.
“The committee also praised Engr Musa for his timely and courageous defence of the integrity of the party and its leadership, especially his clear rejoinder and clarification in response to the unauthorised use of the office of the state publicity secretary.
“The SWC also described as ‘preposterous” the alleged illegal conversion of some SDP local government offices to ADC offices, warning that such actions could attract legal consequences, stressing that office donations must comply with the party’s constitution.”
The official, however, urged party members, stakeholders, the public and the media to disregard any statements or representations by unauthorised individuals claiming to act on behalf of the state chapter of the party.
