Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr part ways with head coach, Rudi Garcia

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabia club, Al-Nassr, has officially announced the departure of Rudi Garcia as the first team’s head coach by mutual agreement, Peoples Gazette can confirm.
“The management of Al-Nassr club has officially decided to terminate the contractual relationship with the first team coach, Mr Rudi Garcia,” the club’s statement said on Thursday.
It added: “The board and everyone at Al Nassr would like to thank Rudi and his staff for their dedicated work during the past 8 months.”
A goalless draw against bottom side Al Feiha in the Saudi Pro League saw Al-Nassr drop three points behind its arch-rivals and league leaders Al Ittihad. Coupled with reported dressing room rifts, Mr Garcia’s stint in the Middle Eastern country finally came to an end.
Meanwhile, the club’s U-19 team head coach, Dinko Jelicic, will immediately assume duty as the new coach of the first team and the Croatian first game in the dugout will be against Odion Ighalo’s Al Hilal on Tuesday.
