JED announces customer enumeration exercise in Bauchi, Gombe

Jos Electricity Distribution (JED) says it has concluded arrangements for the conduct of customer enumeration exercises in its franchise areas.
This is contained in a statement by the spokesman for the company, Dr Adakole Elijah, on Wednesday in Gombe.
He said the exercise, billed to commence soon, would cover Bauchi and Gombe States, respectively.
According to Mr Elijah, the exercise will lead to the digitization and modernisation of customer management to facilitate better customer satisfaction.
“The principal objective of the exercise is to, among other things, identify and list the weak points of the company’s various distribution equipment, such as transformers, poles, and high- and low-tension lines.
“The exercise will eliminate obsolete equipment from the network,” he said.
He, therefore, urged electricity customers in the states to support the enumeration agents to enable them to carry out their assignment effectively.
