Japa: Nigeria not so bad; desperation making youths waste money, fail abroad, says cleric

An Ilorin-based pastor, Olusanmi Samuel, has advised youths to focus on their goals in Nigeria and stop being desperate to travel abroad.
Mr Samuel of the Christ Wonderful Church Ilorin told journalists there was every opportunity for youths to make it big in Nigeria.
According to him, most youths waste money leaving Nigeria for abroad instead of focusing on their achieving their goals in Nigeria.
” They are never ready to explore Nigeria’s opportunities; rather, they prefer to travel abroad without considering other factors.
” Nigeria is not as bad as thought by youths. You can also pursue your career and make it here rather than wasting all your savings to travel abroad and later fail,” he said.
The cleric said most graduates wasted their time pursuing foreign trips and were disappointed.
According to him, most youths are duped by their trusted travelling agents who milk them dry, all in the name of travel.
” There are a lot of people doing great and better than your so-called glorified foreigners. Most people there are living a fake life.
” Calm down and pursue your dream in Nigeria. Stop wasting your time doing nothing all in the name of travelling abroad,” he advised.
