Jaden Smith says his mother Jada introduced him to hallucinating drugs

Will Smith’s son, Jaden Smith, says his mother, Jaden, was the first person to introduce him to psychedelic drugs.
According to Enews, the 24-year-old American rapper revealed this at a recent psychedelic science conference held in Denver on June 23. Jaden said it was his mother, Jada, who introduced the entire family to psychedelic drugs.
“I think it was my mum, actually, that was really the first one to make that step for the family,” he said.
Psychedelic drugs are hallucinogenic substances that solemnly trigger non-ordinary mental states and are particularly used to treat severe anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression. However, long-term usage could trigger non-reality and put users in harm’s way.
The 24-year-old strongly believes that his strong bond with his siblings and parents is a result of his psychedelic drug usage.
“Siblings can argue so much and fight so much, and lord knows me and my siblings have done so much of that in the past,” he said. “But the level of love and empathy that I can feel for them inside of the [psychedelic] experiences and outside of the experiences has been something that’s profound and beautiful”, he added.
Jaden’s psychedelic usage is a shock to the public, considering his past addiction to illicit drugs and his rehabilitation process.
During one of Jada’s Red Table Talks in 2021, she explained how using the drugs helped her recover from depression.
“I struggled with depression for so long, I mean crippling depression, and the thing about plant medicine is that it helps you feel better but also solves the problems of how you got there in the first place,” she said.
