Iranian-backed militias in Iraq claim further attack on Israel

Iranian-allied militias in Iraq have claimed to have targeted a Golani Brigade observation base in Israel using drones on Monday morning.
The claim is coming a day after they said they had hit an “important target” with cruise missiles and drones.
The Israeli army said it intercepted a drone sent from Iraq in the southern part of the Golan Heights.
Since 2023, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group for pro-Iranian militias, has repeatedly claimed responsibility for targeting sites in Israel as a response to the war in Gaza.
