Insecurity:Abuja force provost marshal orders adults from 18 above to vacate Dei Dei barracks

The Commissioner of Police Force Provost Marshal, Force Headquarters Abuja, Olusegun Omosaryin, on Friday ordered the eviction of adults from the Dei Dei Police Barracks in Abuja.
A statement by Mr Omosaryin noted that the decision was as a result of the increase in criminal activities within the MD Abubakar barracks,
The eviction order takes effect from January 30 to February 15 and would include adults from age 18 and above, except for police personnel and their spouses.
In addition, the force provost marshal warned that failure to comply with the order would result in severe consequences.
The statement indicated, “Warning notice” thrice and titled “Brigandage in Dei Dei Police Barrack.”
The statement further read, “The Commissioner of Police Force Provost Marshal, Force Headquarters Abuja, has directed that incessant cases of criminal activities being recorded within the neighbourhood of the MD Abubakar barrack are alarming. Henceforth adults from eighteen (18) years and above excluding serving policemen and their spouses should vacate the barrack immediately.
“You are issued a fourteen days notice to vacate the quarters. This takes effect from today, January 30, 2025 to February 13, 2025. Those who violate this order will be seriously dealt with.”
