Imo CP warns officers against land disputes, vows to prosecute petitioners misleading police

The police commissioner also warned that officers caught involved in such matters will face disciplinary action.

The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, has vowed to take legal action against members of the public misleading operatives into getting involved in land-related civil disputes.

In a post on X on Sunday, the police commissioner also warned that officers caught involved in such matters will face disciplinary action.

The post read, “In line with the IGP’s directive, the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, has issued a stern warning to all personnel to steer clear of land-related civil disputes.

“Any officer found culpable will face firm disciplinary measures. Petitioners attempting to mislead the police will also be investigated and prosecuted.”

According to Mr Danjuma, the warning is in compliance with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
