I’ll be fair to all; Nigerians should be patient with me: Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has promised to continue counting on the support of Nigerians who voted for him and those that did not.
The President said this at the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria Mosque on Friday in Surulere, Lagos State.
The ADS, established on December 21, 1923, is celebrating its 100 years of establishment.
The President said that since assumption of office he has taken the destiny thrusted on him by God to serve Nigerians.
Mr Tinubu said, “I thank the Ansarudeen for its support for me and the governor during the election. I do not take it for granted and it serves as a stimulus for us in government to be focused.
“We are committed to enthrone a better society for our citizens irrespective of ethnic, religious or geographic differences. The various policies already in place are expected to bring great succour to our people.
“We know their pains and we are addressing it holistically. Nigerians should be patient for the benefits to start manifesting. It is instructive that the Ansarudeen has attained 100 years through stability, sustainability and systemic strategy to maintain its mission and vision. This is a testimonial to what focused planning can achieve in a society.’’
Earlier, the National Missioner of ADS, Sheik Abdulrahman Ahmed, urged political office holders to continue to give priority to the needs of the people who voted for them.
He said that there were several expectations from the people that leaders must fulfil, adding that it’s the responsibility placed on them by God.
”In a similar vein, I call on the ordinary citizens to continue to obey constitutional authority and pray for them. Praying for leaders is a means of attracting positive things to our lives. Let’s continue to pray for our leaders and we the religious leaders will continue to do our part to the glory of God,” he said.
