The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), Lagos State Chapter, has elected Adebola Babatunde as its chairman.

The outgoing Chairperson, Efosa Ewere, announced the development at the chapter’s Annual General Meeting in Lagos.

Ms Ewere said the chapter recorded progress in corporate governance advocacy, partnerships and member-focused programmes during the past year.

She noted that initiatives introduced under her administration included a corporate governance week and regular professional and wellness engagements for members.

Ms Ewere also said the chapter strengthened collaboration with professional bodies and improved its digital platforms and membership systems.

The chapter’s treasurer, Olusina Sokunbi, said its financial performance improved, with revenue rising to N13.296 million from N8.6 million in the previous year.

Mr Sokunbi added that the chapter maintained a stable liquidity position to support its operations and programmes.

In his remarks, Mr Babatunde expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to build on the progress achieved.

He said his leadership would focus on strengthening governance advocacy and advancing the chapter’s objectives.

Mr Babatunde is a corporate and commercial lawyer and a managing associate at Greychapel Legal.
