Ibadan man arrested for murder of 20-year-old lady

The Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, on Wednesday, ordered that a 44-year-old man, Kazeem Adiatu, be remanded in prison custody for the murder of a 20-year-old lady, Temitope.
Mr Adiatu, whose residential address was not provided, was charged with murder.
The magistrate, Olaolu Olanipekun, did not take the defendant’s plea for want in jurisdiction.
He directed the police to return the case file to the director of public prosecution for legal advice.
He adjourned the case till March 27 for mention.
The prosecutor, Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on November 24, 2023, at Olowo Area in Ibadan.
Mr Amusan alleged that Adiatu unlawfully caused the death of Temitope by hitting her with a cement block on the head.
He said the offence contravened section 319 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
