Ibadan man arrested for biting woman’s lips

The Mapo Chief Magistrate Court in Ibadan on Wednesday ordered the remand of Dolapo Taju, 27, in Agodi Prison custody for biting the lips of Joy Apenago.
The magistrate, O.O. Latunji, ordered Mr Taju to be remanded after he could not fulfil the N200,000 with two reliable sureties bail requirements granted him.
Ms Latunji adjourned the case until July 3 for the commencement of trial.
The defendant had pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of assault leading to harm.
Earlier, the prosecution, Oluseye Akinola, told the court that Taju was arrested Thursday in the Ojaba area of Ibadan, Oyo.
Mr Akinola said Mr Taju bit the lips of Ms Apenago during a disagreement between them.
