I can’t leave my marriage because of infidelity: Patience Ozokwor

Popular Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor says she cannot abandon her marriage on account of infidelity.
Also known as Mama G, Mrs Ozokwor made her assertion during an interview in a cooking show, Mercy’s Menu. The show is hosted by her colleague Mercy Johnson.
When Mercy asked the veteran actress if infidelity was a deal breaker in a marriage, she responded by saying “I am not going to leave my house for anybody.”
“You are the visitor that came in, find your way out. I will hold my family and polish it and sweep out all the dirt and have a place of home again,” she added.
Mama G had an arranged marriage at the age of 19, she had three children and eventually adopted seven more. She lost her husband in 2002.
Asked why she chose not to remarry, she explained it was too late and her children asked her not to embarrass them by taking another husband.
“It was too late because my children were already grown. I wanted to remarry but my children pleaded with me and said we know why you want to remarry but we want to plead with you. So that our friends will not laugh at us and say at our age our mother remarried,” she said.
“There is no sacrifice too huge for the family,” she added.
The talented actress won the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ 2012 and 2013 awards at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards. She has continued to feature in many blockbusting movies till date.
