Husband begs court to save 10-year marriage

A man, Usman Bello, on Friday begged an Area Court in Ilorin to prevail on his wife, Memunat, to stop her divorce bid.
In his response, Mr Bello said he had been married to his estranged wife for 10 years.
“I do not want to leave her. I am not leaving her. My Lord, please help me beg her,” he told the court.
In her petition, the woman prayed for the dissolution of the marriage because she was tired of the relationship.
The judge, AbdulQodir Ahmed, gave the couple one week to settle their misunderstanding and continue their marriage.
Mr Ahmed adjourned the case until September 30.
