Housekeeper remanded over alleged defilement of five-year-old boy

An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday remanded a 20-year-old woman, Odunayo Ebenezer, to Kirikiri Correctional Centre over an alleged sexual assault on her employer’s minor.
The chief magistrate, O. O. Kushanu refused to listen to the defendant’s plea.
She ordered her to be remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre until September 4 for the Director of Public Prosecution’s advice (DPP).
The defendant, a housekeeper who resides at 4, Idofian St, Shangisha, Magodo, Lagos, is facing a two-count charge of sexual assault and defilement.
The prosecutor, Adegoke Ademigbuji, told the court that the offences were committed on June 4, 2025, at the defendant’s residence.
Mr Ademigbuji said that the defendant, who lives with her employer, was caught by the victim’s father after she had asked the five-year-old boy to lie down, and she lay on top of him.
The prosecutor said that the victim’ father saw the victim’s erection and knew it wasn’t normal, so he then called his son, who narrated how it happened to him.
The offences, according to the prosecutor, contravened Sections 137 and 263 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
