Hamas releases three Israeli hostages as Israel frees 369 Palestinian prisoners

Palestinian armed group, Hamas, on Saturday released three Israeli hostages, while Israel, in reciprocation, released 369 Palestinian prisoners.
The Israeli Defence Force, in a tweet, announced the release of Israeli hostages held in captivity for 498 days.
“Held hostage for 498 days, Alexandre (Sasha) Trufanov, Sagi Dekel-Chen, and Iair Horn have returned to Israel as part of the ongoing framework to release the hostages,” the IDF tweeted.
The IDF added, “The 3 returning hostages are currently being accompanied by IDF and ISA forces on their return to Israeli territory, where they will undergo an initial medical assessment.”
Israeli authorities also released Palestinian prisoners as agreed in the ceasefire deal reached by negotiators in Doha, Qatar.
Saturday’s Israeli hostage release by Hamas and the release of Palestinian prisoners by Israel came after Hamas had on Monday threatened to suspend further releases of hostages, accusing Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement.
Israel also threatened to resume attacks on Gaza should Hamas fail to release hostages as agreed.
