Haal-oween Massacre in Manchester as City thrash Manchester United at Old Trafford

Manchester City cruised to a 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, closing the gap to the Premier League summit to two points. The visitors dominated from start to finish, with Erling Haaland scoring twice and Phil Foden adding a third late on.
United started brightly, with Scott McTominay seeing an early effort saved by Ederson. However, City soon took control and were awarded a penalty on the half-hour mark after Ramsus Højlund was adjudged to have pulled back Rodri. Haaland stepped up and coolly converted the spot-kick for his 10th Premier League goal of the season.
United had a chance to level before half-time, but Ederson denied McTominay with a superb save. City continued to dominate in the second half and doubled their lead in the 49th minute.
Bernardo Silva delivered a perfectly weighted cross to Haaland, who headed home from close range.
United rarely threatened after that, and City added a late third through Foden after unselfish play from Haaland. The result sees City move level on points with Arsenal in second place, while United remain in sixth.
