Governor Okpebholo allocates portfolios to new commissioners

Governor Monday Okpebholo on Tuesday swore in six commissioners into the State Executive Council and assigned portfolios to them.

This was disclosed in a statement in Benin by Umar Ikhilor, secretary to the state government.

According to Mr Ikhilor, Paul Ohonbamu was assigned to the Ministry of Information and Communications, while Washington Osifo will take charge of the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy.

Emmanuel Iyamu is the education minister; Lucky Eseigbe is the commissioner of local government and chieftaincy affairs; and Andrew Ijegbai is the mining commissioner.

Olabisi Idaomi will lead the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Social Development.
