Governor Alia submits nominees for Benue electoral commission

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue has submitted names of nominees for the positions of chairman and members of the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC).
A statement by the governor’s chief press secretary, Tersoo Kula, said the list had been submitted to the Benue House of Assembly for confirmation.
The list has John Chen as chairman, while Terhemen Shom, Theodore Iordye, Solomon Aikighe, Isaac Edache, Gloria Clement and Peter Ogagbolo are members.
Vincent Gisaor is nominated to serve as secretary.
The statement quoted the governor as expressing confidence in the nominees’ qualifications, given their proven track records.
