Governor Adeleke pledges to restore Ile-Ife’s lost glory

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun has declared his administration’s resolve to restore the lost glory of the ancient city of Ile-Ife.
Mr Adeleke pledged during a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja, in Ile-Ife on Tuesday.
The governor noted that whenever he passed through the town, he was unhappy with the state of its infrastructure.
He promised to invest more in the infrastructural development of Ile-Ife as the source of Yorubaland.
Wale Ladipo, a former national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lauded Ooni for supporting the governor and the state government.
Mr Ladipo thanked the governor for initiating the construction of a flyover in Ile-Ife, among other infrastructure projects.
In his remarks, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi commended the governor for his efforts to ensure even growth and development in all communities in the state.
Mr Ogunwusi called for more good roads within Ife and its environs, among other developments in the area.
