Gov Yusuf to spend N20 billion to build four roads in Kano

The Kano government has embarked on a massive infrastructure development project, investing over N20 billion in rehabilitating and upgrading four major roads within the metropolitan local government areas.
This initiative aims to enhance road connectivity, improve traffic flow, and boost economic activities in Kano.
The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Marwan Ahmad, disclosed this in Kano on Wednesday.
He said the Kano government was spending about N7.4 billion on reconstructing Ashton Road to Airport Road to Club Road to MM Way Roundabout.
“Rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of airport gate to Triumph roundabout to MM Way Flyover to KSIP Roundabout will gulp N5.9 billion.
“We are also spending over N2 billion on the rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Sabo Bakin Zuwo Road and the rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Muhammadu Buhari Road at over N4.1 billion,” Mr Ahmad said.
The commissioner also revealed that five additional mega-road projects were in the pipeline to enhance Kano’s road infrastructure further and ease traffic congestion.
