Gov Sule’s aide empowers 750 indigent persons, rallies support for Tinubu

Ibrahim Addra, chief press secretary to Governor Abdullahi Sule, has empowered about 750 indigent persons in Doma council area with cash support ranging from N5,000 to N25,000.
Mr Addra disclosed this during a community engagement programme on Monday in Doma, where he also urged residents to support President Bola Tinubu, Ahmed Aliyu Wadada and other All Progressives Congress candidates in the 2027 elections.
He said the programme was part of his ongoing engagement with the people and an opportunity to appreciate them for their continued support, while giving back to the community.
“This programme reflects our commitment to compassion, inclusion and improving the lives of those who need support in our society,” Mr Addra said.
According to him, 250 beneficiaries received N5,000 each, while others, particularly small-scale business owners, received N10,000 and N25,000 to support their businesses.
He cited women engaged in the sale of beanscake as some of the beneficiaries, saying the financial assistance, though modest, would help boost their businesses.
The governor’s aide also said he had distributed solar-powered lights in his immediate community to improve security, particularly at night.
Mr Addra added that he was supporting young people interested in starting businesses.
He said the initiative was part of his commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable community members and encouraging inclusive development.
Mr Addra urged residents not to be distracted but to remain focused and support the APC at both state and national levels in 2027.
He specifically called on them to support Mr Tinubu’s re-election bid, Mr Wadada’s governorship ambition and other APC candidates seeking elective positions in the state.
Similarly, Fatima Abass, an APC women leader in Doma LGA, commended Mr Sule for his developmental initiatives in the state, particularly in Doma, and for appointing indigenes of the area to positions of responsibility.
Mr Abass urged women and other residents to support Messrs Tinubu, Wadada and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections to sustain the development initiatives recorded in the state.
Abdullahi Ogah, an APC chieftain in Doma, described the empowerment programme as a demonstration of commitment to the people’s welfare.
Some of the beneficiaries, Amina Ogoshi, Fatima Attah and Comfort Elayo, expressed appreciation to Mr Addra, saying the financial assistance would go a long way to boost their businesses.
The trio urged other well-to-do individuals to emulate the gesture by extending assistance to less privileged members of their communities.
