Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has said that his government would intensify efforts to implement projects and programmes that directly enhance the living conditions of the residents in 2026.

Mr Soludo made the promise in his New Year message to the people of the state, made available to journalists by his press secretary, Christian Aburime, on Wednesday in Awka.

He said that the initiatives would also create opportunities for youths and position Anambra as a leading destination for investment and innovation in Nigeria.

The governor emphasised that sustainable development required strong collaboration between government and citizens.

He, therefore, called on Nigerians to continue supporting and cooperating with governments at the state and federal levels.

“The dawn of 2026 offers fresh opportunities to consolidate achievements, learn from challenges and work collectively toward building a prosperous, secure and sustainably developed Anambra State.

“I commended the resilience, industry and patriotic spirit of Anambra indigenes. These qualities continued to distinguish them across Nigeria and in the global community.

“I want to reassure residents of our unwavering commitment to improving lives and deepening the transformation of the state.

“We remain focused on our solution pillars of infrastructure development, quality education, accessible healthcare, economic empowerment, environmental sustainability and security of lives and property,” he said.

Mr Soludo congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the New Year 2026, urging them to embrace the year with hope, gratitude and renewed determination.

He prayed that the New Year would bring abundant blessings, good health, peace and prosperity to households in the state and across the country.
