Gov. Sanwo-Olu pledges stronger partnership with Tunisia

The Lagos state government has pledged to foster its partnership with Tunisia in order to strengthen bilateral ties and promote economic and social-cultural ties.
Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos made this pledge when he received the Ambassador of Tunisia to Nigeria, Mohsen Antit, who led a delegation for a courtesy call at the Lagos House, Ikeja.
He reaffirmed his commitment to improve, deepen and identify common areas of engagement for the promotion of commercial, economic and cultural centres in Lagos.
Mr Sanwo-Olu said that he was committed to making the state a driving force in its exploits for the benefit of residents.
“As Africans, we need to win together by joining forces, we need to identify the key areas in our pyramid scheme and collaborate.
“Economically and socially-culturally, this will drive growth in all facets of human endeavours in Lagos.
“The state government is ready to create a mutually beneficial partnership that drives growth, development, and prosperity for the state and its people,” Mr Sanwo-Olu said.
Speaking earlier, Ms Antit, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to Nigeria, said that the aim of the visit was to invite the governor for a remarkable programme coming up in Tunis.
MS Antit said that there was a need to strengthen bilateral relations with the state and to further engage it on dealings that would guide them towards a common future that would bring about a successful generation.
