Gov Sani’s administration achieved unprecedented milestones in 18 months: Aide

Bello Ayuba, the principal private secretary to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, outlined the remarkable achievements of the administration during an interactive session with journalists on Thursday.
He highlighted the myriad of transformative projects and initiatives that have redefined governance in the state over the last 18 months.
Mr Ayuba described the administration’s strides as unprecedented in their impact, citing accomplishments across security, education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, and economic empowerment.
“On security, the governor distributed 150 operational vehicles and 500 motorcycles to security forces and vigilance groups.
”He also signed the Kaduna State Security Trust Fund Bill into law to enhance resource mobilisation for security operations.
” Through strategic peace-building initiatives, areas like Birnin Gwari and Giwa are now witnessing the return of stability and economic activities after years of insecurity,” he said.
The secretary said Mr Sani’s administration had undertaken 68 road projects spanning 700 kilometres across the state’s three senatorial zones.
He added that Mr Sani has also championed rural development, fostering economic growth in previously underserved areas.
Mr Ayuba emphasised the governor’s commitment to education, with the construction of 62 new secondary schools and approval for 50 more.
He added, ”The government has also renovated over 700 classrooms and provided essential furniture and facilities to improve learning environments.”
According to him, three vocational and technological skills acquisition centres are under construction to train 12,000 youths annually.
Mr Ayuba also said the healthcare sector has received significant attention with the remodelling and upgrading of 13 general hospitals across the state.
”Agriculture remains central to the state’s development agenda, with initiatives like the ‘Get Back to the Farm’ programme empowering over 41,000 farmers,” he said.
”In economic empowerment, the government launched programmes like the ‘A Kori Talauchi’ scheme, which has supported nearly 5,000 women.
”It has also partnered with Google Africa for digital skills training for 5,000 women and girls.
”Through the Kaduna State Enterprise Development Agency (KADEDA), 8,649 businesses have received financial support,” Mr Ayuba said.
Mr Ayuba said the state has also been recognised for its financial transparency and accountability, ranking first among subnational governments in the 2024 Transparency and Public Integrity Index.
He said, ”The state has achieved the highest internally generated revenue (IGR) in northern Nigeria, driven by innovative policies and improved tax compliance.”
