Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau has called on residents to exercise patience and continue praying amid economic challenges.

He made the call during a service at the Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN) in Garki, Abuja.

“I feel the pains of the people.

“I am also frustrated by my inability to meet some of the expectations, but I am praying to God every day for grace to solve the many problems that are there to be solved.

“We will not make complaints. We will continue to seek wisdom to be able to solve the challenges that we face as a people,” he said.

The governor acknowledged the widespread hunger and frustration, but emphasised the need to seek help from the Lord.

“Our help must come from the Lord. We must not relent in seeking God for our lives, individually, and for our families, for our communities, for our state, and for all that share any affinity with us.

“We must continue to trust God to bless our resources,” he added.

Rev. Dinfa Mamshal, COCIN’s deputy general secretary, urged the church to be deliberate in its efforts to live a holy life, in line with the Church’s theme for 2024, ‘Living in Holiness’.

Quoting from Hebrews 12:14, he admonished the congregation to be mindful of their speech, eating habits, and dress sense, so as not to lead others astray.
