Gov. Bago sacks all special advisers

Mr Bago said the decision was aimed at rejigging the advisers’ portfolios to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in line with his New Niger Agenda.

Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger has terminated the appointments of all his special advisers as part of efforts to restructure governance in the state.
The governor announced this during the maiden State Executive Council meeting with the newly sworn-in commissioners in Minna on Tuesday.
He explained that the decision was aimed at rejigging the advisers’ portfolios to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in line with his New Niger Agenda.
Mr Bago expressed appreciation to the affected advisers for their sacrifices and contributions to the success of his administration and wished them well in their future endeavours.
