Governor Muhammed Bago of Niger has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing support to the state farmers.

A statement by his chief press secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, on Sunday, indicated that the governor made the commitment during his visit to Doyin Farms, a private farm on Lemu Road in the state.

Mr Ibrahim said the governor expressed delight with the initiative of the farmer and his contributions to job creation in the state and the country at large.

The governor stated that the farmer’s initiative reflected the agricultural transformation agenda of his administration.

He, therefore, reassured of his administration’s continuous collaboration with the private sector to drive an agricultural revolution in the state.

Earlier, Mr Bago had stopped by his own farm in Bida for an inspection and to appreciate the staff and management team for their hard work.

The governor also appreciated them for their diligence and tireless efforts in contributing to food security in Niger, in particular, and Nigeria as a nation.
