Gov Adeleke inaugurates committees to recover ‘looted’ Osun assets under Oyetola

Governor Ademola Adeleke has constituted committees to track all looted Osun assets.
“You must right the wrongs and discharge your mandates with a sense of urgency,” said the new Osun governor.
“We assure the people that we will not back down on our resolve to stop all post-July 17 illegalities,” added Mr Adeleke, assuring that Osun’s payroll pre-July 17 remains intact and that no worker had been sacked. “Those with issues to explain are those who entered the payroll after July 17.”
Mr Adeleke of PDP took over from then-Governor Gboyega Oyetola of APC.
This is contained in a statement by the governor’s spokesman Olawale Rasheed on Wednesday.
The governor gave the charge after inaugurating four panels to review all appointments made after July 17 by the las.
Mr Adeleke, represented by Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi, decried the widespread “pillaging” of the Osun government assets.
The review panels inaugurated by the governor include the staff audit/appointments/promotion review committee, chaired by Muyiwa Oladimeji, and the state assets inventory and recovery committee, chaired by B.T. Salam.
Others are the contracts/MoU/agreements review committee chaired by Niyi Owolade and the chieftaincy affairs review committee chaired by Bunmi Jenyo.
