Gov. Abiodun inaugurates fire service station in Ifo LG

On Tuesday, Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun inaugurated a fire service station in the Ifo Local Government Area of the state.
During the inauguration, which was part of his re-election campaign to the council area, Mr Abiodun noted that the local government remained one of the food baskets of the state.
The governor stated that it was important for any reasonable government to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the citizens.
He said his government would continue to focus on people-oriented projects, adding that he would not relent in making life better for his people.
“Between 2018 and 2019, during the course of our campaign, we came to this local government where we have eminent personalities, and we promised to deliver on our mandate.
“There is no better way to campaign than to make reference to the promises you made. We are inaugurating landslide projects in this local government and other council areas,” he said.
Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo, representing Ifo 1 constituency, commended the governor for ensuring the provision of adequate infrastructure.
Mr Oluomo added that the last time any government inaugurated projects in the local government was during former Governor Olusegun Osoba’s administration.
“We are grateful that the fire station is now a reality.
“I can only assure you that the people of Ifo local government will give you more than 90 per cent votes. We have never had it so good, except during your administration,” he said.
