Gombe United players undergo medical tests ahead of league season

Gombe United players have undergone mandatory medical tests ahead of the start of the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League season.

This is contained in a statement by the club’s media officer,  Shuaibu Muhammad, in Gombe on Saturday.

Mr Muhammed said that the exercise was in fulfilment of the NNL requirement for player registration for the new season.

According to him, the test is a routine medical check, electrocardiography and general body examination to ascertain the players’ fitness.

He said that the test was conducted on Saturday at the Specialist Hospital in Gombe State.

He stated, “All the newly recruited and old Savannah Scorpions players went through the medical check-up.’’

Gombe United will begin their new season campaign at home against Sokoto United on  December 15.
