Ghana deny Nigeria World Cup qualification

Nigeria has failed to qualify for the 2022 Qatar World Cup after playing a 1-1 draw against Ghana at the Moshood Abiola Stadum Abuja on Tuesday in Abuja.
In the World Cup qualifying game, Nigeria first held Ghana to a goalless draw on their home turf in the first leg of the game last week Friday.
However, Ghana edged Nigeria out in the second leg, grabbing World Cup ticket on away goal rule.
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey gave Ghana the lead on Tuesday, scoring barely 10 minutes into the game.
Nigeria bounced back as Troost Ekong pulled an equaliser for the Eagles from the spot in the 22nd minute of the game.
However, the Super Eagles could not book their place in the World Cup as the game ended 1-1 with Ghana having the away goal advantage.
