FRSC: Iliyasu assumes duty as 24th sector commander in Kaduna

Tijjani Iliyasu, on Wednesday, assumed duty as the 24th Kaduna sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, pledging improved road safety.
Before his deployment to Kaduna, Mr Iliyasu was Zamfara’s sector commander.
The new commander took over from the acting sector commander, Idris Lawal.
He assured the public that the command was committed to improving road safety in Kaduna.
According to Mr Iliyasu, the FRSC was dedicated to serving humanity and working closely with the public, transport unions, and other security agencies to achieve its goals.
Mtt Iliyasu promised to improve the command’s performance and engage with the public to address all concerns.
“We are going to improve on the performance we met on the ground, and we will carry the people of Kaduna State along in whatever we are doing. The command will explain its actions to the public and ensure that they understand the reasons behind its decisions,” he said.
Mr Iliyasu acknowledged that overloading and overspeeding were the agency’s major challenges in Kaduna and across Nigeria.
He, however, assured the command would look into these issues and devise means to address them.
