The Kano State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps has decorated 61 newly converted and promoted marshals to officers’ cadre in Kano.

The state Sector Commander, Umar Matazu, while decorating the officer’s cadre on Thursday in Kano said that it was a significant development in the history of FRSC and historic landmark in the career of the lucky converted officers.

Mr Matazu said the development was a glowing testament to the dynamic leadership style of Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed who is committed to the strategic repositioning of corps for better performances.

He said, “A total number of 1,395 marshals got converted to officer’s cadre in the corps nationwide, out of which 61 marshals were from Kano State command. As you are now converted to officer’s cadre, more responsibilities, more commitments and more challenges lie ahead.’’

He advised them to be more committed, dedicated, disciplined and loyal in discharging their duties.

Highlights of the ceremony are the decoration of the newly promoted with their new ranks and the inauguration of two additional vehicles into the state command fleet for effective patrols.
