Four dead, 10 injured in Osun auto crash: FRSC

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun sector command, says four persons lost their lives in a road accident along the Ilesa–Akure Expressway.
The command’s public enlightenment officer, Agnes Ogungbemi, disclosed this in Osogbo on Friday.
Ms Ogungbemi said the accident occurred at about 10:00 p.m. on Thursday at Omi-Asoro Junction along the expressway, involving a Toyota Hiace bus and a Suzuki commercial minibus.
She said that, in addition to the four fatalities, 10 persons sustained severe injuries and are currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
According to her, the command has commenced a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
Ms Ogungbemi said two men and a female child died instantly at the scene, while another victim died later.
She added that the driver of the minibus did not possess a valid driver’s license.
She advised motorists to avoid dangerous night driving, warning that reckless driving endangers lives and property.
Ms Ogungbemi said the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the mortuary of Wesley Guild Hospital, while the injured victims are receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
