Forest security received 115 complaints in Kano in April: Official

The Nigeria Forest and Security Service in Kano says it received 115 complaints in April.
Its spokesman, Usman Umar, disclosed this in an interview on Tuesday in Kano.
Mr Umar said the NFSS was trying to live up to its mandate in preventing and detecting crimes and illegal activities perpetrated in the forests.
He said that out of the 115 complaints received, 85 had been treated and done with, while 30 were pending.
“Most of the cases were on animal theft, phone theft, motorcycle theft, kidnapping, robbery, among others,” he said.
He assured that the NFSS would continue to secure and make the forest free of crime.
