FOMWAN distributes 405 bags of food items to Bauchi women

The Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria has distributed 405 bags of assorted food items to women in Bauchi.
The association’s chairperson, Habiba Usman, said the gesture aims to support vulnerable households during the Ramadan fast.
She said the Bauchi government donated 200 bags of maize, 100 bags of rice, 50 bags of sorghum, 50 bags of millet and five bags of sugar to the association for distribution to women through faith-based organisations.
Ms Usman said the food items would be distributed to 19 women’s groups across the 20 local government areas.
While commending the gesture, Ms Usman enjoined mothers to ensure the good moral upbringing of their children.
