Filling station attendant in court over alleged theft of N630,000

A filling station attendant, Tope Solaro, 39, was on Thursday arraigned at Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, over an alleged theft of N630,000.
Mr Solaro was charged with theft, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Kehinde Olarotimi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 11, at about 11:00 p.m., at Mobile Filling Station, Ring Road, Ibadan.
Mr Olarotimi alleged that the defendant, being an attendant at the mobile filling station, stole N630,334 belonging to the firm.
He claimed that the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The magistrate, Adebola Adeola, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She held that one of the sureties must be a blood relation to the defendant while another must be a cleric.
She, thereafter, adjourned the case until June 30, for hearing.
