FG restates commitment to Renewed Hope City project

The federal government has restated its commitment to the timely completion of the Renewed Hope city projects in Kano.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, stated this on Friday during the inspection of the ongoing projects site in Lambu, Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.
Mr Dangiwa, accompanied by the state Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Yusuf Ata, urged contractors to intensify efforts and ensure quality work.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far and emphasised the need for dedication to achieving the set objectives.
The Renewed Hope City in Kano comprised 100 units of one-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, 300 two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, and 100 three-bedroom semi-detached bungalows.
The minister said the units were designed with affordability and future expansion in mind, allowing homeowners to enlarge their living spaces as their incomes improve.
Mr Dangiwa emphasised the importance of adhering to quality standards and timely completion, warning that substandard work would not be tolerated.
“This project is part of the federal government’s efforts to address the housing deficit in the country, “he said.
He said the ministry has been working tirelessly to ensure the timely completion of the project, which is expected to provide affordable housing for low – and medium-income earners in Kano State.
