The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has invited shortlisted officers on Salary Grade Level 16 (SGL 16) seeking promotion to Director, Salary Grade Level 17 (SGL 17), to participate in the 2026 Directorate-Level Promotion Oral Interview.

The Head of Press and Public Relations of the commission, Ibraheem Zakariyya, noted this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

Mr Zakariyya said the invitation followed the successful completion of the computer-based test (CBT) conducted as part of the 2026 Directorate-Level Promotion Exercise.

He said the invitation was conveyed through Circular No. FC.6243/GOV/2026/VOL.II/76, dated October 27, 2026, issued by the Office of the Chairman of the commission.

According to him, the list of shortlisted candidates, identified by their examination numbers, had been published on the commission’s official website, www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng, while the timetable for the exercise was attached to the circular.

“The oral interview is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, November 11, to Friday, November 20, 2026,” Mr Zakariyya said.

He noted that the commission directed shortlisted candidates to assemble daily at 7:30 a.m. at Eagle Square, in front of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Abuja, for transportation to the interview venue in accordance with the approved timetable.

According to him, the commission also directed permanent secretaries, accounting officers and chief executive officers of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to ensure that the contents of the circular were brought to the attention of all shortlisted officers under their supervision.

He added that the directive covered officers serving outside their headquarters and those posted abroad, urging the relevant authorities to ensure that shortlisted candidates were adequately informed and complied with the instructions for the 2026 directorate-level promotion oral Interview.
