Fayemi blames Bola Tinubu for bad roads in Ekiti, hunger in Nigeria
Former Governor Kayode Fayemi has blamed the Bola Tinubu government for the widespread hunger in the country, the lack of money in circulation, and the poor state of roads in Ekiti.
Mr Fayemi, ex-Ekiti governor and former minister of solid minerals, in a video seen on social media, said only those deceiving themselves will fail to admit that hungry Nigerians are not happy with Mr Tinubu’s presidency. Peoples Gazette could not immediately determine when the video was recorded.
“Except we are deceiving ourselves, Nigerians are not happy with the Tinubu-led government due to widespread hunger and lack of money,” Mr Fayemi claimed.
The former governor and APC chieftain lamented the deplorable state of federal roads in Ekiti.
“Look at the roads, especially federal roads. If you’re passing through Efon, you know what your eyes will see,” said Mr Fayemi, a former ally of Mr Tinubu. “If you are passing through Omuwo to Ilasa, coming to Aiyedun down to Oye, you know what your eyes will see.”
Mr Fayemi also lamented that his successor, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, spent close to N20 billion to repair federal roads, but the money was not refunded to the state by the federal government.
