Father, two sons arrested for setting FRSC bus ablaze

A 60-year-old man and his two sons have been arrested by the Bauchi police command for allegedly setting the vehicle of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) ablaze.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Ahmed Wakil, said that the man, Umar Ahmed 60, and his two sons, Nasiru Umar, 42, and his younger brother, Usman Umar, 39, were stopped for a routine check by FRSC officials when the incident happened.
When the officials asked for his driving licence and vehicle particulars, he refused and started a fight.
In the course of the fight, he had his hand dislocated which led to one of the sons setting the FRSC patrol vehicle on fire with the help of his younger brother and father.
The police spokesman said the three have been arrested and are presently at the police outpost at Kirfi Divisional Station while the Commissioner of Police, Aminu Alhassan, has directed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) to conduct a preliminary investigation.
According to the image maker, the outcome of the investigation would be forwarded to SCIIB for further investigation while the suspects will be arraigned if found guilty.
The Police Commissioner further warned the general public to always respect and obey personnel who are on their legitimate duty.
