The Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Shehu, disclosed this at a press briefing in Gusau on Tuesday.
Mr Shehu said the suspects were Mr Danjigba’s nephew, Mansur Haruna, and his friend, Ibrahim Garba, who conspired to kidnap the veteran journalist.
Mr Shehu said they stabbed the journalist to death when he resisted their move.
According to him, the two suspects confessed to the crime during the investigation, and some items belonging to the late Danjibga were recovered.
The commissioner also disclosed the arrest of three suspected bandits specialising in kidnapping and raping women.
Mr Shehu maintained that all the suspects will be charged to court for prosecution after the investigation.
