Europa League: Sevilla beat Manchester United, cruise to semi-finals

Spanish side Sevilla cruised to semifinals of the Europa League on Thursday night after beating Manchester United 3-0 in the second leg of the competition’s quarterfinals at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.
Having staged a brilliant comeback to draw the first leg 2-2 at Old Trafford last week, Sevilla showed class, though both teams came into tonight’s game prepared to grab the only remaining semi-finals ticket.
Errors by United goalkeeper David De Gea and defender Harry Maguire gave the home side an early goal.
En-Nesyri capitalised on Maguire’s blunder to give Sevilla the lead just eight minutes into the game.
All hope seem not lost for United until
Loic Bade doubled Sevilla’s lead early into the second half, leaving United with a two-goal margin to bridge.
Unlike United that lost a two goal lead last week, Sevilla took control of the game and were able to seal their victory with another goal some 10 minutes to the end of the game.
En-Nesyri made it three for Sevilla in the 81st minute, helping Sevilla knock Erik ten Hag’s side out of the Europa League with a 5-2 goal aggregate.
