EU launches four new programmes worth $85.6 million in Cambodia

On Tuesday, the European Union launched four new programmes worth $85.6 million in Cambodia.
The launch was focused on promoting sustainable value chains, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, Aun Pornmoniroth and the visiting European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen, jointly launched the programmes at an event in Phnom Penh.
The programmes would support development in the key sectors of agriculture, garment, footwear, travel goods, education and research, trade, and the private sector.
These initiatives are aimed to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, enhance energy security, and integrate Cambodian products into regional and international markets.
