Manchester United’s woeful domestic campaign hit a new low on Saturday as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford.

A 77th-minute foul by Christian Eriksen proved costly, with substitute Pablo Sarabia curling a sensational free-kick into the top-left corner from the edge of the box to seal the win for Wolves.

The result marked United’s 15th league defeat of the season and their worst domestic record at the Stretford End in over 30 years. The Reds now languish in the bottom half of the Premier League table, with European qualification slipping further out of reach.

Meanwhile, Arsenal kept their title hopes alive with a dominant 4-0 victory over struggling Ipswich Town. First-half goals from Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli put the Gunners in control before a reckless 32nd-minute challenge from Leif Davis on Bukayo Saka saw Ipswich reduced to 10 men.

Arsenal capitalised on their advantage in the second half, with Trossard grabbing his second and substitute Ethan Nwaneri adding a fourth via a deflected strike. The win moves Mikel Arteta’s side within 10 points of league leaders Liverpool, though they have played a game more. For Ipswich, their winless home record continues, and a swift return to the Championship now appears inevitable.

Elsewhere in West London, Chelsea came from behind to clinch a dramatic 2-1 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage. Alex Iwobi gave the hosts the lead in the 20th minute after a dominant first-half display, but Chelsea responded after the break. Nineteen-year-old Tyrique George leveled the score before Pedro Neto struck deep into stoppage time to snatch all three points.

The result propels Enzo Maresca’s side back into the Champions League places.
