EPL: Goal harvest as City devour Man United

Manchester City rained goals on their proud neighbour Manchester United on Sunday, demolishing the Red Devils 6-3 in the Premier League fixture.
A supposed cracker of the week turned out to be a walkover for City as they effortlessly crushed their opponent, United.
With all four goals scored in the first 45 minutes, City further damaged struggling United, leaving their players and fans traumatised.
Philip Foden started the damage for City, scoring barely eight minutes into the game.
Unstoppable Erling Haaland continued his good form, netting a brace in the 34th and 36th minute, bringing City’s goal margin to three.
Just before the blast of the whistle, Foden made it four for City, ruining all hopes of a possible comeback for United.
United returned into the second half showing sparks as Athony pulled one for the Red Devils. But it was more like fighting a lost battle as City intensified their attacking
Haaland fired in City’s fifth goal in the 64th minute, bagging his third hat-trick since he arrived EPL from Dortmund during the summer. The Norwegian striker has now scored 17 goals in 10 games for City.
Foden fired in City’s 6th goal in the 73rd minute, scoring a hat-trick like Haaland.
Antonio Martial netted a brace in the 84th and 90th minute to reduce City’ lead margin but it was not enough to save United from a humiliating defeat.
City are second on the EPL log with 20 points in 8 games, while United are 6th on the EPL log with 12 points in seven games.
